Senior Accountant

Vinings, GA - $80,000 - $90,000 + 5% Bonus – Hybrid (Remote Monday and Friday)

Accountants One has been hired by a growing repeat client looking to hire a Senior Accountant to their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a CPA or plan on getting their CPA and have 3-5 years of experience in accounting with financial reporting, GAAP principles and month-end close.

Duties:

• Help process accounting for compensation expense, accrued expense, accrued liability and other accounts
• Review and maintain multiple accrual schedules
• Prepare journal entries aligned with monthly assigned tasks
• Prepare reconciliation of accounts and research inconsistencies during month-end close
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to obtain compensation reports and related forms
• Analyze and interpret details of employment agreements and internal reports
• Be the primary contact for compensation accounting inquiries
• Get documentation and explanations to external auditors for annual audit
• Help external tax firm with documentation for preparing quarterly and annual income tax schedules
• Maintain high level of confidentiality
• Take initiative to perform research and propose solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with focus in Accounting required
• Masters degree in Accounting or Finance or CPA – Preferred
• 3-5 years related experience required
• Financial Reporting experience required
• GAAP knowledge and experience required
• Experience using Dynamics GP or Great Plains preferred
• FloQast experience preferred
