Controller – Scottdale, GA - $90,000 - $150,000

Accountants One has been hired by a successful specialty contractor with over 60 years in business to recruit a Controller for their Service Division. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the services or construction industries in a hands-on accounting environment and be an effective communicator and leader.

Job Duties:

• Manage all accounting and financial analysis for $20M division
• Supervise two direct reports
• Focus on daily management of Accounting Department and interact with internal clients
• Create financial statements for management monthly
• Maintain Monthly Projections/Forecasting spreadsheet
• Calculate Monthly Sales Commissions and Project Manager Bonuses
• Manage Billing and labor/payroll processing for weekly and biweekly payroll process
• Interface with Insurance company
• Interface with Outsourced HR and Payroll Company
• Reconcile 2 checking accounts – Operations and Payroll
• Record Journal Entries in Global Edge software
• Utilize Work in Progress/WIP Report in Excel

Other Duties

• Receive specific GE training for Modules of the program that are used.
• Ensure using software to capacity after training
• Time be focused on making sure the company is using software (Global Edge) correctly, completing the service management part of installation and reporting
• Trend analysis when doing financial analysis with an operational mindset
• Other Duties as assigned by General Manger

Requirements:

• Accounting degree
• 5+ years as a Controller in a Service Based Company or Construction Industry required
• Global Edge, and Paylocity software experience preferred
• Work inoffice 5 days a week – very hands on nature of role but flexible with remote working as needed.
• Experience working for a specialty contractor is ideal
• Budgeting and Analysis along with General Ledger Accounting experience
