Revenue Accountant

Revenue Accountant needed by publicly traded SaaS company to work closely with sales and FP&A. This role is perfect for “not your typical accountant” with exposure to very technical accounting but also to the sales team and also reporting to the board.
This Revenue Accountant will own the software and services revenue as well as commissions and capitalized software processes. This highly visible position gets the opportunity to help structure sales contracts to assist in ASC 606 compliance.

This role will be mostly remote and will include these responsibilities:

Month End including analysis and reporting, complex journal entries and reconciliations
Analyze contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance with ASC 606
Assist with review of sales proposals to avoid billing and revenue recognition issues
Reconciliation of deferred re4venue, unbilled sales, and deferred costs accounts
Assist FP&A with forecasting and cash flows
Ad hoc reporting and documentation projects

Requirements:

Bachelor in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of public accounting or revenue accounting experience
CPA or MBA a plus
