Regional Controller, North America

Accountants One has is partnering with a world leader in Frozen and refrigerated food Product industry. To help hire a Regional Controller for North America. The customer base is located across more then 140 countries on six continents. This is a multicultural workforce with over 40 nationalities speaking more than 26 languages.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, has a master’s degree in accounting and previous experience in Food, Transportation, supply chain or international commerce. Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax and internal controls. The candidate will enjoy managing a team, while leading and building relationships. There is a great potential to grow to higher leadership levels. Spanish is a plus.

Essential Tasks & Responsibilities

Coordination and control of the monthly closing and reconciliation process to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Management responsibilities for a team of 3 direct reports.
Responsible for accounting of complex financial transactions (financial derivatives, hedging instruments, acquisitions).
Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidated statements of US companies of the group.
Assistance in the design and implementation of internal controls.
Assistance in the preparation of GAAP reporting to the Board.
Leadership and coordination of annual audits.
Participate in the implementation of a new ERP.
Build relationships and collaborate with commercial and operational department heads.

Job Requirements:

International manufacturing experience required.
Food industry experience preferred.
Strong experience with supply chain and logistics preferred.
Experience implementing new ERP system highly preferred.
Spanish language skills highly preferred
Strong leadership skills for building and developing a team.
