Corporate Controller - North Atlanta

Publicly traded, Atlanta based organization has partnered with Accountants One to recruit and place a Corporate Controller.  The ideal candidate for this role is a strong leader to hold responsibility for the day to day execution of all accounting according to US GAAP.  Leading a well trained 10 person team and working closely with the (wonderful) CAO, this is a high visibility role.  This is an onsite role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a departmental close schedule as well as quarterly and annual external reporting requirements.
• Work closely with Internal Audit to Implement and continue the execution of key controls.
• Develop and lead a structured process for documenting and reconciling all significant balance sheet accounts.
• Deliver timely, accurate and complete schedules to the external auditors on agreed-upon dates in order to support successful quarterly reviews and the annual audit. Partner with SEC reporting team to deliver completion of audits.
• Develop and mentor team

Requirements:

• At least 10 years in a Controller position
• Previous public accounting experience preferred
• CPA preferred
• Undergraduate Accounting degree
