Payroll Specialist – Union City, GA - $50,000 - $60,000

Accountants One has been hired by a successful manufacturing company in Union City, Ga to recruit a Payroll Specialist to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll for around 300 employees or at least overseeing.

Duties:

• Provide guidance to plant payroll clerks, 3 total
• Verify timekeeping records and investigate any discrepancies
• Process biweekly payroll and off cycle payroll as needed – 150 employees directly, review 50/plant = 300 people total on payroll
• Make Masterfile adjustments as needed
• File and remit all payroll taxes and deductions
• Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns and year end forms
• Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll by keeping information confidential
• Stick to all policies and procedures
• Problem solves professionally and work well under pressure
• Internal customer service attitude
• Take required training classes
• Meet deadlines monthly

Requirements:

• Knowledge of federal and multi state tax compliance
• Work independently and with a team
• Experience processing full-cycle payroll
• Experience using Ulti-Pro software a plus
• Experience using Excel
